You live in France and you come from Vietnam, China or Thailand? Or you are French and you live in Asia? There is surely a taste, a smell, an object or a habit from "back home" that you miss every day. Tell us: this is how we will know what to look for, what to explain, and which businesses to put in touch.

What you can miss when you live far away

The plateFresh herbs, fermented sauces, sticky rice, fresh noodles, the morning coffee.
The bodyA soap, a balm, an oil, a make-up shade that you cannot find here.
The homeRice bowls, chopsticks, bamboo baskets, the soft light of a paper lamp.
Sounds and smellsThe incense of the old days, a piece of music, an instrument: the strongest memory.
The spiritualThe ancestors' altar, ritual paper, the lunar calendar.
HabitsA café where you can stay for a long time, an evening market, a way of living together.
ChildrenBilingual books, traditional toys, language classes to pass things on.
FestivalsTết decorations, mooncakes, lanterns. See the festival calendar.
The other way roundAnd for French people living in Asia: bread, biscuits, jams, books…

A few words are enough. It is anonymous.

Anonymous: we ask for neither your name nor your address. Your answers are used only to know what is missing, to write our guides and to help businesses offer it. They are kept for 3 years at most.

What we do with your answers

  • We read them one by one, by hand.
  • We write guides: what it is, why you cannot find it here, and whether it can be brought to France legally (customs, health rules).
  • We show verified businesses (grocers, restaurants, producers, craftspeople) what is missing, so that they can offer it.
  • Nothing is published with your name: we do not ask for it.

Please note: fresh products (herbs, fruit), products of animal origin (meat, milk) and plants are subject to very strict rules; we do not talk about medicines or remedies.

Are you a business looking for one of these products, or do you make it? Publish a request: we present it to verified businesses.
