The website is never compulsory. Your free profile stays fully useful without it.
Who builds your website
Gardien de site, the website service of Patrick Celli, founder of the Passerelle. Before websites, Patrick worked with his hands: a French vocational diploma (CAP) as a pastry chef, confectioner, chocolatier and ice-cream maker, then mechanics, masonry, electrical work. He taught himself Joomla, setting after setting: the same tool as the Passerelle.

How it works
Your website stays yours
The domain name and hosting are in your name, and you pay for them directly (about €50 to €80 per year). If you ever change provider, your website goes with you.
Then, to keep it up to date
A website that is never updated ends up being hacked. The monthly Gardien takes care of it: backups, updates, monitoring and a short report every month. No commitment, one month's notice.
