Toys, children, leisure, sport

Do you make or sell toys, children's items, leisure or sports goods, in France, elsewhere in the European Union, China, Thailand or Vietnam? This section presents the verified companies in your trade.

Rules to know to sell in France

  • Toys: EU safety rules and CE marking are compulsory (Directive 2009/48). The new Regulation 2025/2509, with a "digital product passport", will replace it on 1 August 2030.
  • In France, warnings and instructions must be in French.
  • Leisure and sports goods: since 13 December 2024, every product sold in the European Union must have a responsible person established in the Union (Regulation 2023/988).

Ideas for your trade

  • 💡 Real example: a French sports club organises a Muay Thai training camp in Thailand; a shop in Bangkok orders French board games.
  • 🛍️ Products: leisure items and toys already certified by the manufacturer.
  • 🤝 Services: activities and camps for children, sports events.
  • 🔧 Equipment: sports and leisure equipment.
  • 👉 Check first: toys have safety standards in every country.
  • 📦 Tip: light, compact products cost less to ship. For Thailand, include customs duties in your price: since 2026 they apply from the very first baht.
